Experience Overview:
- The client desired to bring the remote workforce together for a bi-annual company retreat to bring everyone up to speed on the current state of the business and to build a strong company culture while also providing an opportunity for team members to build deeper connections and enjoy memorable experiences together.
- UnOrdinary Spaces was charged with planning a five-day offsite retreat that brought together a remote workforce from the Americas, Europe, and Asia, to a small village in Spain.
- The UnOrdinary Spaces team organized all the details; recommended the best locations, secured appropriate facilities and meeting rooms, organized tasty food and beverages, welcome gifts and swag, and organized local group experiences.
Experience Highlights:
- All of the lodging was located within 5 large villas, which were located within walking distance from each other. Open spaces were transformed into meeting and work areas.
- Over the course of the retreat, expert talks, interactive coaching, and collaborative work were all part of the agenda.
- Two private chefs set up in two villas and prepared full course meals on-site for individual groups. The private chefs conducted interactive food demonstrations for small groups.
- Team building experiences included beach Olympics with a raft-building challenge. Bonding experiences included a casino night on the villa’s expansive lawn, canyoning, a biking tour, and a beach barbeque with traditional Spanish cuisine on the last evening.
Results:
- Our client achieved their goals and the workforce enjoyed a memorable experience that enable them to connect with their colleagues on a deeper level.
