Corporate Sailing Event For Team Building
About This Experience
Create Leaders and Build Successful Teams Under Sail
Bring your group for a magical adventure under sail. Learn the ropes or just relax, and develop new skills and friendships aboard a fleet of Colgate 26 sailboats with an expert coach on each boat.
The time spent sailing is a rewarding opportunity to learn and test new skills, while relating those skills to daily business life. As we work through relationships and jobs aboard, everyone is encouraged to think of new ways that sailing and life on the job are related. It is very helpful for each crew mate to suggest these similarities and discuss them as the day progresses when appropriate.

How To Prepare
What To Wear and Bring
Bring water or rehydrating drinks such as Gatorade. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow a free range of motion, and plan for weather protection in case of rain. Boat shoes are best, but any soft shoe with a light-color, gripping sole is okay (no hard nor black soles, please). Those wearing glasses or sunglasses should ensure they are attached to a cord at both ends so they cannot be lost overboard. Bring a hat or visor with a clip-on strap (from hat to jacket or shirt collar) and a lightweight cover-up for arms and shoulders to avoid sunburn. Don’t forget the sunscreen. There is plenty of space aboard to stow personal items.
We ask everyone to wear closed-toe, light-color, rubber-sole, non-slip shoes, no flip flops nor sandals. We also ask them to bring sunscreen, a cap, a light jacket, and bottled water on board. We sail rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe.
Terms & Conditions
The total cost for this program is: COST in U.S. funds. This includes boats, instructors, instruction, use of life jackets, and certificates of achievement.
Generally, crews will be made up of five sailors per boat, each boat with instructor coaching. Since the number of boats and instructors is based on this guarantee, it cannot be lowered but may be increased at additional cost, on request, pending boat and instructor availability.
Full payment is due 60 days prior to the start date of event. If the event is booked more than 60 days prior to the start date, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the program is due when the contract is signed.
No refunds are made for Client cancellations, including but not limited to business decisions, weather conditions, no-shows or reduction in the number of boats and instructors required. Sailing programs are held rain or shine.
In the event of conditions that necessitate postponement for safety reasons by the Sailing company, every attempt will be made to complete the program on the scheduled day or move it to another time or day mutually agreed upon by Booker and the Sailing company within 60 days of the original program date.
All participants are required to sign a liability waiver before boarding boats. The Booker is responsible for putting crews together and supplying waivers and participant names to the Sailing company three weeks before the event date.
