About This Experience

Embrace some of the main ideas of improv comedy to improve conversations, presence, and collaboration.

“I’ve Got Your Back”: Improv Fundamentals for Collaboration is highly interactive and will have your team laughing and engaging with each other in ways you’ve never seen before. Every workshop we do is designed with the team’s goals and needs and designed to enhance collaboration, leadership, and creative thinking skills

To be successful on stage, improvisers must build skills in listening, acknowledging information and building collaboratively. In this sequence, those concepts become the foundation for examining how we communicate.

Participants experience a series of exercises in pairs and trios each designed to uncover a different aspect of respectful communication. Through a quick-moving series of paired conversations, the group explores nuanced behaviors that might subconsciously diminish another person’s status or convey an unintended presumption.

Sample Exercise: “Last Word”
In pairs, participants must use their partner’s last word as their first word to have an engaging dialogue.

What You'll Do

Your Experience In Three Acts

• Act I Program Design
  Your Experience Designer will work with you to understand your team’s objectives and current state. They will then pull together a “running order” of improvisational exercises that will highlight skills and conversational debriefs to map directly to the session outcomes
• Act II Implementation
  our session will be run by your Lead Designer and a Co-Facilitator. We like to work in pairs and sure hope you do to. The experiential exercises will allow your audience to try on improvisational skills in small groups and pairs.
• Act III Assessment
  After the program is facilitated, we will host a debrief conversation with you and other key stakeholders to discuss the success of the day.
  We will also provide you with a PDF takeaway that can be sent to the workshop participants so they can always reference back the key takeaways.
